This is one of the assignments I had to do for my comics class one semester ago. At the end of the semester, we were suppose to take home our work but I forgot all of mine lol I finally got them back 6 months later.

For this assignment, I was given the word "rain" and had to come up with a comic related to that word. I decided to focus on the concept of acid rain. Even though acid rain doesn't actually burn away the plants like in the comic, they do change the ph level in the soil, damaging the biochemistry which makes it harder for plants to survive.

I looked at the comic before reading the description, thinking it would be the typical image of a plant getting the water from the rain, and growing etc.
Obviously, that wasn't what happened. Nonetheless, this was a cool interpretation of acid rain (particularly the factories in the droplets) and something that's definitely important to keep in mind, as ecosystems are easily destroyed by the effects of acid rain.
