Princess Mononoke Process by yuumei Princess Mononoke Process by yuumei
Here's a quick process step by step for the Princess Mononoke fanart

If you are still learning Photoshop/SAI or any digital programs that involves layers, you might not understand this but I hope it makes sense to at least some people ^^;

On a side note, I will be at Fanime this year, I hope to see you there! :D

I've seen a small paragraph in the bottom right corner about you, and I was just searching Princess Mononoke and saw how awesome this is, and I looked at the artist and it was you xD I really like this piece :dummy:

It sooo cool.

Btw, thanks for uploading this pic. It helped me in rendering especially in SAI. Though I'm still a beginner.

Ahhh, layers. How I have yet to master you.

This was very helpful. I'm terrible at backgrounds. It makes a lot of sense to do the forground and midground on a separate layer and worry about those first. I would still like to know how to do that nice glow and lighting effect though.
