My first entry for the Bring Your Vision to Life Contest I decided to draw this one in my super old big eyed anime style hehe, I might do another entry in my normal semi-realistic style if I'm not too busy with finals =_=
My interpretation of good and evil is pretty complicated. Basically I believe there is no good or evil, just a matter of opinion, but for humans, there is a stereotype of what good and evil should look like.
Good = white, feathered wings, angel. Evil = black or red, bat wings, devil, demon blah blah blah. But really, what notorious dictator who have killed countless proclaimed to have done in the name of evil? Most humans always justify their own actions with righteousness, be it acts of charity or murder.
Since righteousness is good, and good is stereotyped as white with feathered wings, I drew this character who is covered in white feathers. But of course, humans don't sprout feathers, so how many swans did she have to kill to obtain her facade of purity, of goodness? Modern day America, the "land of the free", was built upon the deaths of native Americans and African slaves.
What "evil" are we willing to do to appear "good"?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This news article features five deviants who took part in Comment Month through commenting on the deviations that were submitted.
Please give your time to this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here. Although not all may be underappreciated, their efforts deserve to be recognised and celebrated.

Very well done. I also like your explanation of her adornment of feathers. I hadn't thought of it like that.
