I've been on dA since I was 12, and now I'm 18. dA has given me a lot of help, from support to experience. All the great artists on dA are so inspirational and the great tutorials helped me so much. It's time to give a little back to the community. I will be doing more tutorials from time to time :D

You can click on download to view the full size version if you want to copy it. You don't need to ask me for permission to practice copy the heads. Here's the line grid if you really want to use it [link] :D Hope it helps!

To think you're only a year older than me and to see how many amazing works you have accomplished, it makes me feel like I've got a lot of work to do to catch up! I've been on dA since I was 14 (23 now) and your work was some of the first I fell in love with. You're an amazing artist and you've been an inspiration to me for many years now. Thank you!!

I totally agree with the first statement, that's how I learned, trace, but NOT TO COPY. Some people think that's like some sort of sin. The copying others work and claiming it is, but tracing is not.

Actually I think it means tracing is bad, not copying. Because you what I do is I find the picture I want to draw, ask the arstist for permission and then study the picture and draw the lines to the closest I can

Hey, these are great. Mind if I use them to study (and hand it in), as my art teacher wanted us to do head poses?

The book Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck (amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0195030… ) also has a fabulous chart for facial angles but with a "shaved" head with base lines instead of hair. :)
