This is a sketchy character design I did a while ago for another story of mine: Curse of the Winged Koi (that I'll be working on after I finish Knite and WE) 
Iwazaru is the name of one of the 3 wise monkeys; it literally translates to "don't speak".
And yes, those are hands tattooed around the mouth
