1000 Words book is ready for order here at HERE at :D

For previews and other info, please visit

"1000 Words" was inspired by a comment on one of my other work "Tape it Back Together" . In the comment, this person told me when she first saw the drawing, she thought it was sad but couldn't connect with the situation. Three months later, her parents divorced and when she saw the drawing again, she began to sob. It made me wonder, had she shown something like the torn up picture to her parents, would it have made a difference?

This story also explores the purpose of art, what can be art, and what art means to me personally.

:iconfanartist: made this beautiful tune for my story :D [link]

Woot! I finished my first ever one shot comic! :D It's 56 pages excluding the copyright page. I don't know how long it took me but it was a lot of work.

For all those who are curious, the little girl's name is Fantine, and the guy's name is Linus. I MIGHT continue 1000 W0RDS after I finish my other projects years from now :D

Drawn in Paint tool SAI, texture and editing done in Photoshop, web comic programming done in Macromedia Flash.

Please check out my other flash comic, Knite and interactive narrative, Rumination .

1000 W0RDS by *yuumei - It's rarely you ever see an entire community support a single artist like this, and when that happens it should be a memory well kept. This art is worth it, its impact is incredible. It's my honour and joy to feature this piece of true art. Thank you community for your MASS number of suggestions, we hear you. :) Well deserved *yuumei. ( Featured by OneFreeInternet )

This is perhaps the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The reason many of us make art.

Oh, God! What is this fluid leaking from my face?

This really hit home for me here. My parents divorced when I was 17. It was all my dad's fault because he's a drinker, adulterer, and an abuser. My mom tried to keep the family together for as long as she could, but the emotional stress he gave her had manifested itself into physical pain; a tumor. Seeing her in pain and knowing that it was because of stress that my dad was causing made me hate him. I wanted him out of our lives. Whenever I heard him unlock the door when he came home, a wave of dread washed over me. I didn't want him to come back, I wanted to leave. I finally got the chance to get out when I left for college. But the effects of his failures as a father and a husband stuck with me. I have anger issues in which alcohol and sexual immorality are major triggers. I would never drink in my life, nor would I ever smoke, do drugs or have premarital sex. I don't want to be my dad, ever. Before I became a Christian, I thought "If my own dad could choose a bottle of booze over his own family, over me, who could ever love me?" I looked at a tree and saw myself hanging from it. That happened 3 years ago. I still get angry today. I've bashed my head against the wall of my dorm and left some deep dents in it.

Oh, jeez, where did all this come from?
